Phoder Privacy Policy

Overview

Phoder is a local photo organizer for iPhone and iPad. It helps you browse, organize, find duplicates, prune low-quality photos, and manage a Bin from the Apple Photos library on your device.

We designed Phoder to process your photos on your device. Phoder does not operate user accounts or cloud storage for your photo content, and your photos never leave your device (beyond your own iCloud Photos library, if you use it). To keep Phoder free, the app shows ads from Google AdMob — see the Advertising section for what that involves.

Information Phoder Processes

With your permission, Phoder accesses photos and videos in your Apple Photos library so you can view, favorite, move items to the Phoder Bin album, restore them, permanently delete them, and organize your library using app features.

Phoder may also process the following data locally on your device to power app features:

• Photo metadata, such as date, media type, and favorites
• On-device quality scan results, such as blur, dark exposure, and closed-eye detection
• Duplicate detection fingerprints and cached duplicate group results
• Your viewed-photo markers and organization statistics

This information is used only to provide Phoder features you use. It is not uploaded to Phoder-operated servers because Phoder does not operate backend servers for your photo content.

What We Do Not Collect

• We do not require you to create an account
• We do not sell personal information
• We do not use your photos to target ads, and we never share your photos with advertisers
• We do not operate our own analytics or upload your photo library to Phoder cloud storage

On-Device Storage

Phoder stores app data locally on your device, such as quality scan caches, duplicate scan caches, and organization totals. Some data may also be stored in the iOS Keychain or Application Support directory on your device.

Changes you make through Phoder, including moving photos to Bin or deleting photos, are written to your Apple Photos library. If you use iCloud Photos, those changes may sync through your Apple iCloud account according to Apple’s settings and policies.

Apple and On-Device Services

Phoder relies on Apple system frameworks and services, including:

• Apple Photos to read and modify your photo library
• On-device Vision analysis to detect low-quality photos during local Prune scans

Your photo files are processed on your device for Prune and duplicate detection. Apple’s handling of any system services is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

Advertising

Phoder is free and is supported by ads served through Google AdMob. To deliver, cap, and measure those ads, Google’s SDK may collect and process device and usage information, such as advertising and device identifiers (for example, the IDFA or IDFV), coarse location derived from your IP address, and ad-interaction data.

On Apple devices, Phoder asks for your permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt before any data is used to personalize ads or track you across other apps and websites. If you decline, AdMob shows non-personalized ads instead. You can change this choice at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.

Phoder never shares your photos, videos, or library contents with advertisers, and your photos are never used to target ads. Google’s handling of data collected through AdMob is governed by Google’s Privacy & Terms.

Changing or revoking ad consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Phoder uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to collect and record your advertising consent choices before ads are shown.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time:

• In Phoder: open About (info button) and tap Manage Ad Choices to reopen the consent form.
• On iPhone or iPad: go to Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking to allow or deny cross-app tracking (App Tracking Transparency).

Withdrawing consent does not remove ads entirely, but Phoder and Google will serve non-personalized ads instead of personalized ones where required by law.

Permissions

Phoder requests access to your photo library so it can display and organize your photos. You can grant full access or limited access on supported iOS versions. You can change or revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings.

If permission is denied or revoked, Phoder cannot read or modify your library until you grant access again.

Data Retention and Deletion

Local Phoder caches and settings remain on your device until you delete the app, clear app data by removing and reinstalling Phoder, or reset relevant app state through normal use of the app.

Photos moved to Bin remain in your Photos library until you restore or permanently delete them. Permanent deletion cannot be undone.

Children’s Privacy

Phoder is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International Users

Phoder processes your information on your device. If you use iCloud Photos or other Apple services, Apple may process or store data according to your Apple account settings and applicable laws.

Accessibility

Phoder is designed to work with iPhone accessibility features. We continue to improve support over time. If something does not work well with your assistive technology, email chillworks2026@gmail.com and tell us what you were trying to do.

Supported on iPhone

• VoiceOver — Tabs, buttons, photo thumbnails, Cleanup actions, and the About screen include accessibility labels. In the photo viewer, you can use the bottom bar (Bin, Undo, Prev, Next) instead of swipe gestures. Advertisements are labeled “Advertisement.”
• Dark Interface — Phoder follows your system Light or Dark appearance.
• Reduced Motion — When Reduce Motion is enabled in iOS Settings, Phoder shortens motion in the photo viewer.

Known limitations

• Organizing photos is gesture-friendly by default (swipe left for Bin, swipe right for Favorites). VoiceOver users should use the photo viewer bottom bar where swipes are difficult.
• Phoder does not yet fully support Dynamic Type (Larger Text) across every screen.
• Phoder does not add captions or audio descriptions to your personal photos or videos.

Privacy choices

To manage ad consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland), open About in the app and tap Manage Ad Choices, or see the Changing or revoking ad consent section above.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of Phoder after an update means you accept the revised policy.
